Aaron Isaac Peel was selected by the Angels in the 11th round of the June 2002 draft. He played seven seasons in the Angels minor leagues, reaching Double-A in 2007 and 2008. He posted a career .278 batting average with 62 home runs. His best season was in 2005; playing for Cedar Rapids and Rancho Cucamonga, he hit a combined .309 average with a .390 on-base percentage, 25 doubles and 19 home runs.

Aaron passed away on September 21, 2010 in San Angelo, Texas. According to his obituary, his pallbearers included former Angels teammates Matt Brown and Kevin Jepsen. Among his honorary pallbearers were former Angels teammates Michael Collins and Greg Porter.
